How long have you lived in the Coachella Valley?

I made the move to Coachella Valley back in 2007. It was a big change for me, but one that was the best decision ever!

What do you love most about life here?

After spending over a dozen years in Orange County, what I appreciate most about living in Palm Springs is the simplicity and ease of life. I used to spend so much time navigating busy freeways, and now I can travel around without the stress of traffic. Reflecting on my journey, I realize that the daily grind has melted away, and it’s this newfound tranquility that makes the Coachella Valley home to me.

How would you describe your business to someone who’s never been?

Imagine a space where you can discover a healthier, more balanced you.   At Ecore Fitness, we offer a variety of Pilates classes and group lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of every student. Even if you don’t know what a reformer is or have never tried Pilates, I like to think of our studio as a welcoming place that teaches you how to move efficiently, strengthen your core, and enhance your strength flexibility—all while having fun!

When did you start your business, and what inspired that moment?

I opened Ecore Fitness in our current location back in 2010, starting with just one reformer machine in a cozy 400-square-foot space at the Vineyard Shopping Center. A year later, I expanded into the neighboring space to create a larger footprint. What drove me to grow was my vision for providing a top-notch Pilates experience. I wanted to build a community-focused environment that I would love to be a part of—a place that felt inclusive, functional, and upheld the highest standards of education and cleanliness.

What did you do before this, and how did it lead you here?

Before I embraced the world of Pilates, I had a florist business in Laguna Beach. After relocating to Oregon in 2005, I decided to change my career and get certified as a Pilates teacher. I never intended to move to Palm Springs, but after a few sunny escapes from the Oregon rain, I fell head over heels for the Coachella Valley. It felt like the perfect place to share my passion for Pilates and create a welcoming space for others to thrive!
